CEL from hitting a bump?
I got a b16a1 in my 90 teg. I get a cel randomly about once every month. I checked the codes and its always either 1, 23, or 21. The latest was 21. I know the 23 and probably the 1 is from loose connectors but the 23 has me stumped. All i know is one time i hit a nasty bump and that light came on.
So my question is:
Is it possible to get cel 23 (knock sensor) if you hit a really bad bump in your lowered car? Like can it jar the engine hard enough to fool the sensor into thinking your engine knocked?
Thanks guys.

i had a problem with my car throwing a code 23 it was always when i hit a bump or something. turns out my wire that had been run for the knock had some of the plastic covering worn away near the ecu. so when i would hit the bump or the whatever would cause it to show up, it was just the wire gounding out. i guess what im saying is check the back and front of your wires.
