Default cel and ect question

What is a non OBD code 15??? Is it the same as OBD1 just as many of the other codes? Also i hooked up a GSR block in my friends 88 CRX cuz his thrust washers went out in the B16 destroying the bottom end. My question is, i rewired the engine coolant temperature switch that the B16A has on the back of the block so that we could plug it into the GSR's ECTS that's comes on the thermostat housing, is there any problems with this or should it be fine.. Thanks in advance.

all codes are pretty much same for all years

FYI, thats not an ECT on the thermostat housing.
That is the fan switch.
The ECT is on the side of the head.

I think the old B16/B18 motors have 2 ECTs one on the head and one on the block

yea i know, the ECTS is the switch for the fan, but what i am saying is if you have the old non OBD wiring set up for the switch on the back of the block can you simply rewire it so that it plugs onto the thermostat housing??? Thanks

pretty sure you can, are both sensors two pin?

if yes, just change it over.

it is just a 'normally open' switch that closes once a certain temp is reached.

HTH,
