CEL code 43 on OBD0 PR4 .... Help?
Everyone says CEL 43 is "Fuel Supply System defective or malfunctioning fuel supply system". However when looking in the factory service manual for a 1990 Integra I found no info on CEL 43. Maybe I am blind.
QUESTIONS
1. Are OBD0 ECU's cabable of throwing CEL 43?
2. What are most of you doing to correct the problem?
TIA

From what I have seen, alot of B20 and B18 swaps are throwing this code. The descripition of this code is too general. Id do a search and see who else has had this problem and see how they fixed it.

It is interesting that you said b20 swaps because this car has the B20B. BTW the car is a 1990 integra w/ a b20b that is run by the stock 1990 computer and intake manifold. But.... it did not throw the code untill the motor was rebuilt. The rebuild consisted of 84.5mm bore endyn pistons, eagle rods, and other fews parts such as bearings and seals. Any ideas?
I hare the same problem. I had a B18B and didn't have a code, swapped to a B20 and now I have the code. I use a 91 teg LS ECU. I rembered that the O2 sensor was unplugged before and I plugged it in afterwards...I have yet to unplug it and see if that dores anything.

I have a B20 VTEC turbo setup and am throwing a code 16 and code 43 sometimes. I think that I have the code 16 under control because my injector seals were toast and the injectors needed to be cleaned. As for the code 43, I think that the 02 sensor needs to be replaced, the fuel pump needs to be checked, and the fuel pressure needs to be checked. I thought I would give you aheads up on what I am doing.

Good start, Ive seen that code too. It was fixed by a brand new O2 sensor and fuel filter.

without the O2 sensor hooked up, it seems that the car has less power....? Does the OBDO ECU's have a limp-in mode or a safety mode?
I got the code 16 also. I wonder if it is in cahoots with code 43? Well I am going to buy an O2 sensor and see what that does.

I just got my 550 RC injectors cleaned. They definetly needed cleaning because the spray was way off. I thought that this would fix my problem but it did not. I still have this code 16 and code 43 come up.
