so the tps sensor is in the back, and the MAP is on the top of the throttle body? hmmmm. well, im missing one or the other.

that is correct...
its easy to mix up the TPS & MAP sensor plugs as they both use the same style of plug.

TPS on backside of TB and MAP is on top of the TB...

the dx harness is not plug and play. i found this out the hard way. map sensor id on the firewall rather than the harness

it doesn't matter if the MAP is firewall mounted, it will still plug to the harness. Just dismount the MAP sensor from the firewall and let it dangle from the vaccuum tube leading to the TB...no biggy

here's some info on how to convert a CX 1-wire 02 sensor to a 4-wire 02:

huh?

I'm betting someone cut the MAP sensor plug off the harness. Have you checked to see if there's wiring (near the TPS wiring) that looks like a plug has been cut off from the harness?
