Default CC'ing Combustion Chambers - b16a head VS. b20b

This affects piston choice, obviously and am trying to see if anybody has these nos. (in cc's) for stock b16a and b20b.

Anybody have any thoughts on this & related, like what would compression be if you kept stock pistons in b20b block and just added b16a head? I know there is valve interference, but just for theorhetical???

Thanks, All

the b16a has a a 42.7 cc cumbustion chamber iam not sure about the ls. the compression should be lower with a b16a head i would think that the b16a would have a bigger cumbustion chamber.

That is some good stats! Thanks, Mike.Is there any variance in the combustion chamber cc's btwn say b20b and b20z or is the compression diff sue to change in pistons?

I think there are some issues when hybridizing a hybrid in terms of the tuning and a lot of people do not sweat the details. I am trying to do that, and hopefully get a little optimization of the combo....

Choice of pistons is a tough one, and as I was saying I am trying to get about 12.5:1 net compression.

BTW, Tom Fujita in a 2nd conversation said that you do not have to open up the base of the combustion chamber on head to match the increase of bore on the CRV block - no proof that it signif. changes performance or needing to be done is basically an exact quote.
