Default causes of leaning out?

hey guys-

I'm stupmed and need some help. My car started to have a little hesitation... bogging down... I am leaning out bad out of no where. I pulled my plugs, and they were very very white. So I replaced them. car ran much better. this was 2 days ago.
today, i went to an auto cross. by the end of the day, my plugs are chalky white again, and the motor is running like crap. idel is fine, but low throttle, it bogs like a ****.
I don't have a vafc or anything besides i/h/e that i've had for years.

what are possible causes for leaning out? possible bad sensors? I'm not throwing any codes. this is on a d16z6

thanks for any help you can shed on this matter

fuel filter.

15$ and could solve the problem.

if not there could be a clog somwhere in the system.

well it dosent get as dirty as an air filter, but you can remove it and inspect it. i dont think it will show as much dirt tho

and yep it could be somthing that simple.

think about it, if its clogged, its blocking fuel from going into the rail.

replaced the fuel filter and the plugs today....
car is running better... but its still there.

just on a hunch, i pulled the dizzy cap. a piece of metal falls out. lol
****** A man. i should've checked that first. one of the "pins" on the cap was all corroded and broke in half.

new cap and rotor for the car in morning, and i should be back to 100%.

If that still doesn't work it could be your O2 sensor or your fuel pressure. Those will be the next things you should check.
