im pretty sure my cat has gone bad. It started rattling and im positive its not the heat shiled because i took it off. If i hit the cat i can hear the rattle from the inside. I have a 2000 si how could it have gone bad already. My only engine mods are intake and axleback exhaust. Im still under warantee...would the dealer replace it. Of course i would put my car back to stock before bringin it in. What do you think?

well your cat is not bad its just rattling. if it needed to be replaced your car would overheat.

 

well does anyone think the dealer will fix it because i dont wanna leave my car there the whole day and have them tell me they did nothing...but i guess ill give it a try.

Take it out and shine a flashlight through one side and look in the other. My cat was rattleing and makes this howling noise and it is because there is a big *** chuck broke out in the rear....so it throw s a cel 67 sometimes.
