Searching for a manual window regulator for the driver's side window of a two door. Aren't many Honda Accords at the junkyards I frequent. You guys know of any cars that I could keep an eye out for that are made similarly?

 

I called a few junk yards today to inquire again about their stock of 90-93 Hondas and since it was slim pickins I figured I'd throw the question at them. Of course, they said it has to be the same make and model.

What seems to be maddening to me is just that I took a regulator off a Toyota, I believe, and it looked quite similar in size and mechanism. Unfortunately I hadn't a chance to compare the two before closing time so I left it.

Certain things must be, as I know many cars have "brother" and "sister" companies, such as Dodge and Chrysler. This is just to the best of my knowledge; I'm not certain.

Is your 91 a 2 or 4 door?

If only organized junk yards were more common. I do believe the trip would be worth it; I'm sick of being pointed in random directions only to discover they no longer have the car they sent me off to search for.

My 91 is a 2 door.

I've been meaning to get my hands on an automatic regulator to check for differences. They only one that comes to mind is the motor, which can be removed presumably simply.
