i just rebuilt my motor and now my car wont start...the car would start to crank up(as if you were doing a compression test) but it will not turn over and start up...we pulled the spark plug out and tried to start it up but there was no spark coming out of the spark plug either...we think it could be a few things...the distributor, or the external coil(i have an msd setup)...what do you guys think?

By pass the MSD I have had alot of problems with MSD if its not properly grounded or the coil is not properly grounded it will cause a headache of problems.To test your coil just unhook the white wire that goes to the dist on the MSD and with the key on pull the coil wire off the dist. cap and touch the white wire to ground and it should produce a spark every time you touch it to ground, if not your coil is bad.
