Default CAR WON'T START!!! STARTER PROBLEM?

So I drove my car yesterday, turned it off and 5 minutes later tried to start it again. The motor cranked over very slowly for about a second or so and stopped... Now when I try to start it it just clicks...

- tried to boost it: nothing but a click
- replaced battery with new one: nothing but a click
- checked terminals and grounds: look ok to me and nothing helped

Power is there to everything else... Just won't crank... It was fine - this is the very first time something like this happened... What could be the problem?

check the battery terminals and the starter itself.

your battery terminals are probably not just grounded right...i had that problem a few weeks ago.

checked them already... anything else? i heard you can try starting the car by connecting the terminals on the starter... anyone know how to do this properly? i see 3 wires on the starter - a thin black one, a plastic capped thick one and another one attached by a bolt... what are they?

take a jumper wire straight from the pos battery terminal to the "thin black wire" tab on the starter. (MAKE SURE THE CAR IS NOT IN GEAR). if it starts up like normal you're are having connection issues with batt, starter ground, who knows, if it doesn't start at all. buy a starter

tried this - all i get is a click - and a short buzz from the starter... car doesn't crank though... so starter is finished?
