car won't start.......hit head while welding........NED HELP!!!!!
ok my buddy came over this morning saying he cracked his manifold and need it welded just to hold it over till he got a new one. So he asked me to use my wire feed to weld up the small crack. when doing this i accidently hit the head with the edge of the wand, wire feeder handle. Big spark. i feel totaly bad cause now his car doesn't start, it will crank and crank but hes not getting ANY spark and it not starting. we checked all the fuses. The ECU fuse under the hood was blown 15A, replaced and still same thing, cranks no start. He has an MSD ignition with MSD coil, could i have blown the MSD ? please anything would help. i am pretty advanced in cars, not in welding though, lol. Anything would be a great help.
TIA

Were you welding it on the car!!!???? AAAAAAA!! Very bad. I'd guess the distributer module(s) are toast, and quite likely the ECU... and any other sensors on the head.
Very bad boy, No biscuit!

ouch...sorry to hear it.
electrical things are a pain to diagnose.
not really sure where to start. If the ecu fuse blew then hopefully it worked...start testing stuff.

well i think i put too much trust in my friend and i should of looked at the ECU fuse myself!!!!
thats all it was, i took voltage meter to everyting and found nothing so i decided to recheck the fuse, poped in another 15AMP and VRRRROOOOMMMMM started right up. He owes me a case a beer and a free detail job on my car.
thanks for the reply's
