Ok here is how this situation all started. I'm driving home from work in 3rd gear at about 2500 rpms then bam my engine just shuts off. I figured it was the timing belt or fuel pump. I inspected the timing belt and its not broken, I couldnt hear the fuel pump turn on when i turned the key to the on position so I went on further by unhooking hte fuel line that ran into the filter and tried to start the car and see if fuel was coming out. No fuel was coming out so it has to be the fuel pump right? nope. I just replaced the fuel pumpi can hear it come on and now fuel is coming from the fuel line that runs into the filter. Still no start. I replaced the main relay in may so I dont think it can be that. if anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate them. My engine is a d16z6 (p28 ecu not chipped) my mods are just a header and intake the car is a 92 lx sedan

check to see if you are getting spark

 

how? i took a spark plug out hooked it up to my wire then layed it on my header...hoping to ground it but it didnt sprk but i dont think myheader is a good ground

 

bad coil

 

yea check your coil cause the same thing happened to me a few months back.... i was at a light, put it in gear and took off...then...my car just died. I had to replace the coil

 

happened to me and it was my ignitor.

 

no spark now i tested the coil and it checked out ok
