car wont start

oookay well my car is not starting i checked everything. i set timing to tdc and its cranking over getting fuel and spark but it just wont start .any clue as to what could be the problem?the distributor had been removed but it only goes in one way so i couldnt of put it in wrong

maybe you installed it 180 degrees off...at tdc the line on the back of the dist. should be pointing towards the firewall(i think). the line is on the part of the dist that goes inside the cap and lines up with the sloys in the cam...

hm not sure what r saying but heres what i think ur saying. okay when the whole distributor goes into the cam it only fits one way and when the distributor rotor is at tdc its poing exactly where the number one piston is . wich is rite and if i put it on wrong its on the exhaust stroke . but i dont belive it is. i even just tried to mess with the plug cables and move em around diff order see if that was problem but same result.how can i check if there is actually gas going in the cylinder ?
