car wont start
i have a 93 honda hatch (its actualy canadain but i live in us)
anyway comeing home from work the engine died about three blocks from home.
my uncle came over and verified that the spark plug worked by sticking a screwdriver into one somehow, and found that there was presurised fuel in the line leading from the fuel pump which must mean that the fuel pump and filter are operational.
we were just about to give up and tow it to the repair shop when i found the thred about the ecu light on this site. found the jumper (mine is actualy blue instead of white and is inside a green plastic thingy along with a three prong plug) the ecu threw a code 19 and 20 which happens to be automatic transmission lock sullenoid and electric load. but if it wont start how can it be a transmission problem? i had an accord that developed transmission problems and all it did was it wouldnt get past 30, and you had to push it to go in reverse. went to the libray researched and found where the automatic transmission sullenoid was. unplugged it and took it off, put it back on, and now the check engine light just stays on. however if i unplug the sullenoid again it gives me a code 19 again like it should.
so my question is: should i replace the sullenoid, tranny fluid, ecu, something else, or should i just send it in to the shop.
