my car is overheating ... well not smoking but temp goes up close to redline....
it goes up esp. idling on stop lights... what i noticed was that the fan kicks in late or there is some kind of delay...

and another thing

everytime i start my car .. it kind of chokes for a few seconds and then after awhile idling sound improves..

any ideas..ht mechanics?? tnx ...

 

My accord heated up at stoplights when idling for a while also, then when i started to excelerate the temp went down. i brought it in to a shop near my house for quick reference, they told me my radiator wasn't pumping the cold water to my engine. i got a new radiator for dirt cheap and hasn't done it since.

 

you might want to check your thermostat. My friend's car overheated easily while normal driving. So he purchased a new thermostat for about 20 bucks and it's okay now. and the install is super easy. So check it out dawg
