Default car takes a long time to start

when my car sits out for a day or sits out for a while it takes very long to start.
my battery is good.
took my starter to autozone to check it out and the guy said it worked fine.
but, i don't know why it's doing this.

i sit in my car, step on the clutch and try to start it and the radio will turn on along with the lights just fine, but i'd be sitting there trying to turn the ignition and it just clicks, most times i'd have to keep trying 20+ times, then it'll start. it doesn't crank, no grinds either. just click, click, click... till it wants to turn on.

any ideas?

you have to check if the starter get the battery voltage ,and not consuming too many Amps.what do you mean by the battery is good? How did you tested it?

Batteries can be bad from the factory, though not common. Check your battery voltage with nothing on. Leave a volt meter on it and turn on the headlights and check the volts, and then, off the lights and look at the volts when you try to turn the starter over.

so, you think my battery can go bad after a couple months of it working well?

Voltmeter and end the battery question. Can it go bad, yes, but did it?

Put the multimeter on the battery posts and have someone crank the motor the voltage shouldn't go lower than 9.6V.Make sure before everything to mesure the battery voltage. It should be not lower than 12.4 V.Do those things first.

AEM standalone's are fun to start, just saying lol. There's no quick get away if the car is off even with the quick start thing.

If you don't know what you are doing, then it might be a challenge. But starting a car with AEM should be perfect if you know what you are doing. The OP didn't say anything about an aftermarket engine management, that's why I asked.
