so i have am ulitibeter, but no battery, nd i am stuck at the house. i have a lsvtec running a modified ls distributor. i been running it for 15k no probs. 2 days ago it dies on me as i was getting on the highway, i thought i poped my timing belt. i got out and checked everything was good. i got back in the car, it started and i proceded to drive 60 miles to work. drove home no problems. then yesterday i was going to my boys house and it dies on me again,. would no start. left it for a few hours it started so i drove it home. at home i let it run, it dies after a few mins. i can hear the main realy click on, i hear the fuel pump prime. i can smell the cas. i am getting no spark from the distributor. i changed ecus, no difference. i did just get a random oil leak from one of the cam seals which ill fix today, but i doubt that has anything to do with it. no check engine lights. when it runs vtec works. no hesitation. it just randomly shuts off. i am thinking either coil or ignighter. but i cant really do a ohm/voltage test if it works when it wants to. any ideas? its currently outside running right now.

so yeah i just had it running for 5 mins and dies out again

 

ok the icm is what i have been calling the ignightor. i am going to see if i can steal a battery out of one of the smoke detectors so i can get this multimeter working
