My car smells like dirty socks from underneath the front dash from both driver and passenger sides. I don't have AC. My car overheated 3-4 weeks ago and I just got that fixed. There is no leaking in the inside of the car anywhere.

Also, once in a while after a long drive my car smell like skunk from under the engine. Any idea what the problem could be?

Maybe a small animal crawled in and died. How about clean your car? Febreeze?

 

When you park the car on a nice day leave the windows down about inch and let it air out.

I have mine down a bit today here at work.

 

Check your cabin fan housing. Mine had a **** ton of animal hair in it (was causing fan to struggle when running), and when i took it out, it smelled pretty mildewy. Which is i assume what people were commenting on (i never noticed a mildew smell), people haven't mentioned that smell since.

Also i heard somewhere that rats and **** get stuck up in engine bay nooks and crannies.
