Default car not cranking problem (eg coupe b16)

95 eg coupe b16 swap

the problem:
it cranks and turns just fine when i was priming the motor, fuel pumps works too
but when i plug the distributor up the car wont crank or turn or anything.

im thinking its the main relay, when i listen to it, it sounds like its sparking or something
..lmk what you think.

You need to be clearer on what is happening, [or not happening].
"it cranks and turns just fine when i was priming the motor" what does that mean, "it cranks and turns" and "when priming the motor"??????

Also what does, "when i plug the distributor up" mean????

Cranking = starter motor is working and engine turns over.
An engine can "crank"/"turn over" and start.
An engine can "crank"/"turn over" and fire but not start.
An engine can "crank"/"turn over" and start.

An engine that will not "crank"/"turn over", [starter motor not working] has nothing to do with the PGM-FI Main Relay, [main relay].

An engine that "cranks"/"turns over" but will not start, may have a problem with the PGM-FI Main Relay.

Have you checked for spark?
Have you checked for fuel?
Have you checked compression?
Have you checked the timing? 94

alright. you know what priming a motor is right? where you disconnect the distributor and crank your motor so the oil pump can pump the oil through out your engine before turning it on.

my car turns over just fine with the distributor disconnected, but when i connect the 2 distributor plugs up and try to turn my car on.

NOTHING HAPPENS

i can hear gas go through and all but it doesnt wanna turn or make a noise or anything

i can hear the main relay sparking or buzzing and all.

got gas coming through, cant check for spark cause of the problem, timing is perfect, & compression is 210 across.
if you need more info lmk

That is strange, as the distributor has absolutely nothing to do with engine cranking.

Try a bypass jump, plug the distributor in and use a jumper lead to supply power directly to the starter motor solenoid control terminal, [small lead that unplugs] you can jump from batt. pos.(+) post or from the batt. terminal on the starter, [large cable bolted to starter].

BE CAREFULL, make sure car is not in gear, engine will crank even if in gear. 94
