Default Car makes a ticking noise?

Recently i noticed my car is making a ticking noise over 3k rpms.I checked the oil and there are no shavings or metal fragments. Not to mention it still runs and drives, ive driven it about 40 miles since i noticed,(had to get home from out of city) and it never got worse, the noise was just there.

Any ideas? Im thinking valves need adjusting, but it just started randomly?

my car ticked very loudly before, turned out to be a spun bearing due to oil starvation... had to get a new motor...
