My car lags in 1st gear and sometimes 2nd and 3rd gear also. When I push the gas pedal down, it just stays there. The car barely moves. Also, when I'm in neutral, the car's RPM stays from 700 to 500 and makes my car seem like it's about to stall. Does anyone know why I have these problems?

you may need new plugs. might as well change all four.

Yeah, I just bought the spark plugs this morning. I'm waiting for my car to cool down. Anyonw else got any ideas? Thanks for the quick reply jdmillusion.

96 civic with B16A2. The car has been running fine for a while. This just recently happened.

I changed my spark plugs and the problem is still there. I just recently changed my fuel filter. Do you think that's the problem? Could they have given me the wrong fuel filter? I used the 96 EX fuel filter instead of the 99-00 Civic SI one. Does it matter?
