Car is jumping side ways for no reason...
I was driving down the interstate last nite and my car would just randomly dart one way or another...at 115 mph thats some scary ****!!! I just hade my car aligned but i had to get new tires put on my rims so i had to drive around with my front factory wheels on for a week or so.It didnt start doing this untill i put my rims back on with new NITTO 450's ...what would be causeing my car to do this???I need to fix it before I end up on the side of the road upside down or something..thanx for any help!!
I had a similar problem with my car...at hwy speeds it would out of no where pull hard to the left every once in a while. Autozone pulled the wrong axle off the shelf after I had broken one of mine and the cv knuckle was binding.

thats what i was thinking

Sometimes it can actually be the tires. I had a set of Kumhos that would dart all over the place, the car never did it before the Kumhos and never did it after them. A lot of it has to deal with the fact that the Nitto isn't a high speed tire, it's true that it can support high speeds but it really isn't safe to try.
Mine does that at some spot on certain roads. Has something to do with the ruts left by the trucks and wider tires.
I don't do it at 115 though. Keep it up and you'll be a statistic.

you should always get a alignment after you install new tires and rims.. it will throw the alignment out of spec..

Really good point.
Really good point.
actually, just installing rims/tires has nothing to do with your alignment. It is recommended to align your vehicle after installing tires to promote longer tread wear/tire life but thats about it.
what your are probably experiencing is what is called "rain groove syndrome". This is common when running a wider sized tire. Also more noticeable when the tires themselves have large water channels. Basically the channels read the grooves in the road and sorta follow them causing a weird type of sway feeling. As mentioned earlier it can do the same thing over ruts left by heavy trucks even if not grooves are visible. Tires that are low profile/stiff sidewall can do the same.
Not trying to seem like a know-it-all, just going on previous experience and training.

Ok, the only reason i was going that fast is that i had 10 min until my dyno appointment and i had been trying to get it scheduled for the past 4 months...so i wasnt going to miss it this time!!! I usually try and drive the speed limit....

soo that has nothing to do with your alignment?.. that's the main reason that people get alignments.. to promote longer tread life, I know that TOE affects pulling, but it won't cause pull.
