Car is humming at idle! Any ideas?

Car is humming at idle! Any ideas?
I noticed that my car has been humming at idle lately only at idle..!
Also my car has been idling a bit low! I'd say maybe 680-730 used to
idle around 750-850.. It's an on and off humming also I need to replace
my cat conv.. but i doubt that has anything to do with it... the cat is
making an annoying rice noise.. the hum is high pitched and never hear
it when my I'm driving only at 800 RPm and under..
Thhinking it could be my waterpump or my alternator! any ideas?
The motor is a H23 VTEC Blue top!
