car dies at 4k-5k!!! HELP!!
I'm doing a 7 hour drive home soon and need this fixed. I have double checked everything. Car is fine up to 4k or 5k and it'll just turn off! If i let it idle, it'll turn off w/in a minute like there's a fuel cutoff or somein.. here's my setup
B16A
MSD6al,cap,blaster2,2step,vtec switch
VAFC but recently just took it out, this is when the problem started
Could it be the "ignitor" or a ground somewhere? How hard is it to fix the ignitor? Will I make it on the long trip home if I don't let the car idle?
Honda tech HELP!!!!

wow i didn't know you idled at 4-5k. i dunno what tranny you have but im sure cruising at 4k is a little fast. I would just make sure all the wires were properly conncted after you uninstalled the afc. i had the same problem, just a weak connection, or none at all. I used the male/female stud connectors and crimped them to the wires i had to cut then taped it up. try that if you can
i crimped the directly together w/ blue crimps and a lil extention. As far as the 4-5k, i was punching it in 1st gear. I just retried it and it idles fine, i "shake" the wires that seem important and still fine, right when i touch the gas, it dies.
I restart, and this time i hit the gas nothing unusual, but after a min of idleing, it dies.
