Car burns oils quickly!! help
so i have a 94 Civic CX hatchback with a D15B swap non V with ex S20 trans was driving on the freeway the other night and happend to notice that my oil pressure guage was at 5psi and and would drop to 0 a few times when i hit turns so i check my level and it was empty what could cause this? car idles beautifully and runs amazing drove to san dieago twice this past week and doesnt smoke unless i really start to beat on it. my guess would be rings but ive also heard it could need a valve adjustment? and that could be cuaseing it to burn oil when i rip on it harder, with that being said i had a valve adjusment done maybe a yr ago and i remember after it was done it wouldent stay on when it was cold didnt really think anything of it i think i corrected it by adjusting TB screw, also i head the valve adjustment should only be done when car is cold and mine was done maybe ten minutes after i drove it and it was summer time? probably gonna go next weekend and have it adjusted again and take it somewhere else this time, may AK1 Motorsports in Montclair California or does anybody no of someone good in Socal?
Get under the car. If it's leaking you'll see evidence of it, regardless if there's nothing on the asphalt you're parking on.
If you're not leaking it, then you're burning it.
If you're not leaking it, then you're burning it.
Yea there's no leaks so that's ruled out, I have also noticed that one time when I was at my buddy's smog shop after he ran the test there was a black circular area where The exuast Is dumped and it looked like oil could just been black from the exuast fumes but I doubt it not a crazy amount but it was there if it was oil comming out the exuast what could chase this? Bad rings ill try and get pics
