Default car bogging down

ok...i have:
ls block
ctr pistons
micropolished crank
b16 head
3 angle valve job
skunk 2 IM
greddy header
open exhaust
greddy fpr at 45 psi i think
field vtec controller stock settings
pr3 ecu

when im driving, sometimes when it hits 2500 rpms the tach jumps around and then the drives like crap. the light on the ecu window comes on and stays on. its always at 2500 rpms or sometimes right when im about to start driving in 1st. i have to shut it off and turn it back on and it drives fine for a little while.
also whenever i try to floor it, it bogs down at 5000. but if i have it at about 3/4 throttle it revs up just fine.
i got the ecu from a friend and im not sure if its chipped or not. right now im thinking its just a bad ecu, but i havent had a chance to try another one out. so if anybody has any ideas let me know...want to get this straightened out as soon as possible

brand new cap and rotor.
i tried my friends stock ecu tonight. did the same exact thing as my ecu does.
im thinking my fuel mixture isnt right? maybe check the plugs tomorrow and see if i can mess with my field controller...and then a shop owes me some dyno time so ill probably try to throw it on there later this week and figure it all out...
