What cap and rotor do those that run an external coil use on a B18. I know with a D16 you can use a 94 accord LX cap and rotor. I am looking for something other than msd stuff.

Any particular reason you don't want to use MSD stuff?

 

Availability. Cannot just run up to Autozone and pick up MSD stuff. I know the quality is probably better, but I prefer to change out cap and rotor frequently.

 

You dont really need to change the cap and rotor frequently, those last faírly many years.

This is correct, MSD cap and rotors are of excellent quality that will last some time, even on high-revving B-series engines.

 

Where can you get good prices on an MSD cap?
