I physically cannot turn the starter key on my 98 Prelude. Turning the wheel will not unlock it. The key would not turn before the wheel was locked either, but the wheel locked in my trying to turn the key. I have tried graphite lube and a blank key to no avail. Would you bring it to a locksmith or a stealer (shiver) to get it fixed?

My key... is it too beat?

I don't have the valet key, only the red key.

 

it's probably too beat... you can try copying the worn out key... sometimes the copy will actually work. if not, it only cost like $2 to try...
