can you do this?

yes you can, but I think there might be a slight clearance issue w/the valve relief area on the piston and the LS valves.... I'm not to sure/clear on this though, but B-series VTEC pistons will fit into an LS block no problem.

Yes, you can and it will be fine.

i heard u use stock ls pistion with a vtec head, it just wont fit? i wanted to go lsvtec.. then i was thinkin about some else.. i hate to be like other people for exmpale gsr in a hatch is sooo common. i was thinking aboyt all motor b18b.east like b18b motor with itr pistion and other lil goodies shunk2 mainfold , itr cams too... but **** work safely?

dude... you cant use ITR cams on a non vtec head.

That's a known issue.
You will run into valve-to-piston cleareance issues if you keep LS pistons and put a DOHC VTEC head on aka LS/VTEC. You're either suppose to (1) replace the LS pistons w/any DOHC VTEC pistons (depending on your motor application) or (2) have the LS pistons valve relief area porked (lol) out so the valves won't tap the pistons.

Katman what is porked? i will i have valve-to-piston cleareance issues with a a ls block and head with itr pistions or any vtec pistions?
Kamin but icoud use toda or shunk too rite?

ok..
im only typing this one more time...
with an LS/VTEC setup, you can use ANY B-series DOHC VTEC piston, meaning you will NOT have to modify the valve relief area. You only need to modify the valve relief area if you stick with an LS piston; you have to open up the valve relief area (aka pork) (ok ok ...bad slang).
bottomline...
If you go LS/VTEC go with a B-series DOHC VTEC piston; screw using the LS piston they suck anyways.

It should work, but like I said, I'm not 100% sure about the valve relief/clearance issue when using an LS head & ITR pistons in a LS block.
But the ITR pistons will fit on LS rods, no doubt.
