i just got a sohc vtec for free and want to drop it in my ef hatch cuz the motor the hatch hsa doesnt work at all and wanted to know since my hatch is automatic i wanted to know is there any way to hook up the vtec to the stock ecu or do i need to find another ecu?

 

you need a vtec ecu p28.

 

okay so your putting a sohcv into a ef hatch! first of all is the hatch an si?
2) the chassis is an auto?
3)the motor your puttin in is a 5sp?
4) are you looking to convert your car from auto to man?

1)no its not an siso foar i know i have to do mpfi swap
2)yes its an automatic
3)yeah its a 5 speed
4)eventually i do plan on doing a transmission swap

i also wanted to know if i could just drop that motor in and use the auto traansmission?
cuz i dont have the money to do the tranny swap
