Default Can I Use A Chipped ECU For Uberdata?

Looking on ebay I see some pre-chipped ecu for generic engine packages...Kinda like the Skunk2 ecu's. I'm wondering if I can take one of these OBD1 ecu's and re-chip it for use with uberdata?
