Can I switch back to regular oil?
I've been running synthetic in my 00 Lude SH for about 15k miles. I know that synthetic's run through the rings much quicker than standard oil does - and I'm burning up about a quart every 2k miles.
What harm am I risking switching back to regular oil after 15k miles of synthetic?
Advice?
And no - I'm not going to sleeve it, no I'm not going to put in Type S pistons, no I'm not looking for any advice other than can I go back to regular oil and if so - what problems would I potentially be looking at.
Thanks H-T !

i thought after you've been running synthetic you shouldnt switch back to regular because of potential oil leaks like crazy... maybe thats just after a certain mileage cause i've heard it quite a bit. correct me if im wrong

That myth is probably made up by the same person that said that you must change all worn tires when getting a new alignment.
