Default Can this head swap be done???

I got a POS 1.5 L (8 valve) I have never owned a Honda before this one and it just doesn't have the power. I have already put a stage 2 clutch on it, AEM cold air intake, DC header, Apexi exhaust system under it.
I'm thinking I should be able to bolt a 1.5L (16 valve) head on it without having any trouble or having to modify anything is this right?
Or if not does anyone have any suggestions of how to get some more bolt on power??? PLEASE help I know nothing about Honda's!!

yeah, the swap should be very sraight forward. you will just need a distributor that fits the head correctly most likely.

you might have issues with the valve reliefs on the pistons, since there were originally designed for a 8 valve head and not a 16 valve head. i am not familar with these heads and pistons but you might have to swap out the pistons to.

all the 8 valve engines I have torn apart always have 16 valve cut reliefs (weird/ must be to cut manufacturing/ production costs). You should be ok.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I was also thinking about a mini me swap but that sounds a little to complicated for a Honda newbie that's why I wanted to swap the 8 valve 1.5 L head to the 16 valve 1.5 L head, but I guess it doesn't gain but about 20 hp so it's not really worth it!

you probably have a d15b8 and want to put a d15b7 head on it. This is possible HOWEVER if you do this you need to make sure that your pistons have 4 valve reliefs. If your car is a 92 like your SN indicates, you may have left over HF pistons in there. Honda saw fit to use parts left over. If you do you will not be able to use a d15b7 head.

most of the time you will have the 4 valve relief pistons, if that's the case your d15b7 head will swap directly onto your d15b8

same dizzy
same timing belt
everything interchanges over
