Default Can a curb hit damage trans or diff bearings?

I'm looking at car that hit a curb hard enough to crack the hub cap, bend the wheel, and bend a control arm. Do I need to be worried about that hit damaging one of the bearings in the transmission?

I ask since I know a if a car hits you from the side on your front wheel, it pretty much kills, at a minimum, the differential.
