ARite...i'm planning to get some skunk2 stage 2 cams...i currectly have a gsr head stock.....i can probably get the cams with springs and retainers....fo about 600....but my friend suggested to buy a whole new head from his company that i forgot what its called...but it comes ready with everything you need...oversized valves...valvues springs...etc...all i need to put on it is the cams...he said he can get it fo 1g......what should i do?...should i jsut get the 600 and build up my original head...or just buy a new one? that's ready race...?

 

It depends upon the company that built the head. See if they have dyno charts and references, also see if their products are used on any professional race teams. I would be weary of any "fully built" B series head for $1000.

I guess they are alright, but for the money you can get a stock one ported to the max so i dont know, you dont need oversized valves for your setup

 

i dont remember what's the brand...but he is using it for himself....i trust this guy...he been swapin engine and playin with car since he was 16...foo is at least 21 now....does swaps fo a living....so if he is using the head himself...i'll trust it's good...
