Default cams for b16?

I've heard CTR cams, retainers, valve springs are the way to go in a b16. Your own personal opinion and based on experience is this right? Or should I go with something like skunk 2 or buddy club?

skunk 2 is good but exspensive, and stay away from buddy clubs cams..CTR is the way i would go
