Default Cams

What do you all think about crower cams? Is it true that they break aolt, and if so under what conditions do they break? Any good experiences with them, any bad. Any input would be helpful, thanks for your help

i have heard that they break but it could be due to poor installation.

I have yet to meet someone that has broke a Crower cam(or any cam, for that matter). But from what I understand is the Crowers are one of the best, non-OEM type, cam available. Like he said poor installation might be a culprit of breakage(or downright stupidity).

I've been running Crower 63403 cams for the last year or so. I think they're fantastic, particularly for what I paid. I definately think you should give em a shot, I doubt you'll be disapointed. I saw a post from Brian Crower explaining that the their first batch of Vtec cams had a problem with ramp speed or lift, I forget which, but he claimed they were too agressive for the springs available. He blamed this for the early failures of Crower cams, and stated that it was corrected long ago. Skunk2 also had an early problem with their cams which I believe has been corrected. Sucks, but it's the nature of the beast. I guess the morale of the story is...don't be so quick to beta test new gear for the manufacturers.
