Cam tuning
Hey i am having a situation where i can't get dyno time(no access) but i wanna tune my cams. is there anyway to do with no dyno, i will give me setup and mabey some1 can help.
1.B16a block with .25 oversized CTR piston
2.B18c5(2001) cylinder head
3.b18c5 intake manifold
4.Spoon cams
5.Spoon ecu chip
6.4-1 header
7.Skunk2 cam gears
i guess what i am looking for if there is a trick or base set degrees on what to tune these cams to. any info would be much appreciated

Your going to have to use a dyno. I just tuned my cam gears on my honda. I couldn't believe what a huge difference even a 2 degree change would make. The difference between +2 and -1 on the intake came was almost exactly a 5hp drop from 2000-6800rpm. Then from 7500-8000 I gained 4hp. How you set your cam gears will really depend on where you want your power to be.
how much did it cost you to put in the .25 piston in your motor. I've been thinking about getting ctr pistons...but don't know if i should go standard or oversized. Did you milled your rods so they would fit too? and don't you need to milled the piston chamber or something? let me know.
i did the assembly myself but the machine work costed me $410 cdn which includes:
1.bore&hone .25 over (includes cleaning)
2.Install pistons on new rod with machine work at top of rod
3.Micro polish crank
5.install apr rod bolts
i didn't get the full works
i went .25 over cause when cold i had piston knock so going that little over helped clean it all up
