cam sprocket worth it for SOHC?
i have one already... and i was wondering if it actually would do anything. not speculation... but actual fact if you can. btw im turbo'ed if that makes any difference.
it is worth it you can tune where you want your power incress, when the valves open at what crank angle you wont make 2-5 HP on any car for less then $200
that kinda confused me. i bought a cam gear for $60... and you sound like your saying its a good thing.. but you said something about $200 minimum...
This is just kind of a theory question, but since this is the tech forum, I'll ask this here:
The "cam gear" is turned by a timing belt. Doesn't that make it a cog? I thought sprockets indicated a chain, pulleys indicated a belt (non-toothed), cogs indicated a timing belt, and gears indicate more glears.
Now, I'm not an expert on power transmission but I was just wondering...do we have our terminology wrong?

okay i dont care... if its a sprocket... a cam gear... how much it costs to dyno... i dont give a damn!!!!!!!! i want to know if the power gains are worth it!!!!!?!?!?!??!
