Cam Specs!!??

Cam Specs!!??
After watching this video:

I did a search for the cam specs for Nissan VVL motors, and Honda B-series Vtec specs.

most the nissan specs are in the 280-288 duration range. Is it me or does this seem high?? The 1.6 cams have 70 degrees of overlap, how does that motor even run??
