Default Cam seal broken?

I have oil leaking from the feft side of my b18 motor from a round black plug near the top under the valve cover. Is that likely to be the cam seal? If so, besided the seal, what will I need to fix it or what else could it be?

By left do you mean the driver's side? Or do you mean the the side of the engine with the distributor? It sounds like you are describing the cam plug which is on the distributor side of the engine. If it's the cam plug, it's no big deal.Replace the cam plug and torque the 10mm bolts to 7 ft-lbs. You might want to have your valves adjusted at the same time if they have not been adjusted for awhile.
