I have a quick question concerning cams for a friend. He has a pretty hefty motor being built. Its a 2L with 12:1ish compression and the head will have a P&P etc.....well he is kind of in a toss up between which cams to use. He has narrowed it down to Skunk Stage 3's or Jun Stage 3's. The motor will be in a daily driver, but it will be more for race use. What we are looking is for honest first hand reviews with each cam. We've done a search but it has a lot to do with mosty hear/say. Lately I've been hearing a lot of positive feedback about the Skunk3's...and we're familiar with the power that the juns can give. We are also aware that the profiles for both of these cams are not similiar to one another. But any feedback from experience with either one of these cams would be great. Thanks in advance.

 

Ever consider using EF-1 cams? They are made by Rocket from this board. You can try and contact camp1320.com on here as well, I think he had some in stock. When Rocket sent a set of his cams over to a tuner friend of his who was running JUN3's all their race season they made more power. Give either Rocket or camp1320 a call and they will tell you from their personal experiences. Hope that helps man, lates!

 

From what I read on the site he'll do custom grinds correct?

 

He is having cams ground to his spec if thats what you mean, or do you mean you give him custom specs and he has them ground just for you?
