cam plug install
never done this before, but i was wondering what's the steps to take in order to replace a cam plug on a b16a motor. i have the cam plug, i was told there's a certain sequence to remove the bolts to get access to it. and i need to tq it a certain spec. i was wondering if anyone could give me a hand with this? thanks any info would be appreciated
An easier way to do it is to get the P72 plug (I think it's a P72, I'm not at work so I am just working from memory. This plug is plastic with an O-ring on it) If you use this plug you don't have to unbolt anything. Just pull out the old one with a screwdriver being carfull not to score the alluminum (punch hole in middle and pry) and then pop in the new one. Takes about 5 minutes and no disassembly required. Plus, I have never seen an o-ring cam seal leak. Unlike the all rubber over metal core ones which always leak after a while.
