Default Cam Gears

I adjusted my cam gears and set them at +4 on intake and +2 on exhaust. Nice midrange. I think that there is more to go on the top end but it may also be my restrictive exhaust (doing new setup shortly). Can I setback or advance any of the cams to pick up my topend?

My setup:
Rebuilt B16A2
Decked block .008"
ITR topend
Si AEM CAI
Middle layer OEM gasket
Skunk2 Cam Gears

Soon adding a VAFC (on its way) and an 98 Spec ITR ECU. Also putting on my JDM 4-1 ITR header, and using a USDM ITR b-pipe and chopping out the bottle necks for a 2.5 to 2.3" exhaus system. Right now my OLD Si exhaust.

Also on the ECU will have any problem with the timing or fuel cause I have a B16?

Thanks

Usually when people change cam timing they adjust them opposite each other. The reason is to create more or less overlap depneding on the application. Adjusting them both the same way together will move your power band up or down, giving you either more torque or more HP. Thats the idea behind cam gears sohc's.

id say the only problem you'll have with the ecu is plugging it in to the plugs on your si harness. They're different.

+2 intake -1 exhaust sounds more realistic
