CAm Gear Probs
Aight im a Tard i know for askin this question but,
Im goin to buy this car from a guy its got a obd-0 b16 in it and hes got some JE adjustable cam gears and when they are spinning it looks like they are off center almost...his excuse was that all the bolts but eh one with the degrees on it were advances 2 degrees and the one that actully tells u how far u are advancing it just wasnt advanced could this be my prob or would the engine just be done??

Cam gears do break, bend/warp/crack and such. But need to be true, as in straight and all the bolts need to be used or they will warp or be out of balance. At 6k rpm they spin at 3k I would think they need to be balanced.
And I can't understand you about the two degree thing. I would leave them set to zero until you get access to a dyno. I think the set-up is with the exhaust cam 2degrees advanced if I can remember right. Maybe someone will chime in for the timing.
