Default Cam bore Question

I picked up my head today for my build. everything looks up to par on it. one thing i noticed was the cam bore nearest to the cam gear, i guess you could say cam bore #1, the bore has grooves worn in it, not super bad, you can feel it but i think ive could imagine worse, the cam itself also has little grooves worn in it. Im talking about both cams now, not just one, they are both worn the exact same way. I figure the extra wear come from it being right there at the timing belt which puts more tension on that end of the cam. all other cam bores are perfectly fine and smooth. I have pics hopefully ill get them tonight.

also, the arrows on the cam caps face the cam gears dont they(front of engine)

Smart guy. Some wear in the journals, especially there, is normal. I think the fingernail test applies; if you can run your nail across it and it doesn't snag, call it good.

Yep, toward cylinder #1.

If you really want to you can get the bearing surfaces polished but if you cant feel the groves then its probably fine..
