cable to hydro tranny?
as the signature says i have a d16z6 using my 89 lx tranny, however i would like to use the hydro tranny that came with my engine, is there a way that i can do this or would it be way too expensive to even consider?

theres no kit that i know of.. you can do it though. you need to do alot of custom fab work. ie mounting a clutch master cylender in the engine bay and the slave too and running hydro lines. theres gonna be some kits to do it for b series engines soon

i thought about doing this.
you'll need shift linkage, hydro lines, slave cylinder and maybe mount for the tranny side

Why do you want the hydro Si/ EX tranny? The 1-3 ratios are the same as the cable Si tranny, but 4 and 5 are taller... Just get an '89- '91 Si/ EX box and you'll be happy. Take that money you were going to spend on a hydro conversion and put it towards a good clutch.
FWIW, I prefer cable... it's kinda like non- power steering where it gives you a better clutch feel than the hydro clutch.
