Cable D Si tranny problems
I finally got my CRX running again, and I think I may have put the bearing on the top/outer end of theinput shaft in backwards. I didn't read that it was possible until after I had done mine so I didn't think about it, but that bearing fell off when I had the stacks out, and I just put it on, not thinking about orientation. I got it running today, and took it for a ride, it works fine first through third, pops out of fourth, doesn't go into reverse at all, and fifth goes in mushy with no clicking, and comes out the same way. Nothing made like catastrophic failure noises or anything, so I think it's fixable, but I just don't know what to expect. Is it possible to pull the outer tranny case off without removing the whole tranny from the engine? I don't have a garage here, dirt driveway, so it will be a pain and I want to know what to expect ahead of time.
