Default C.R. of a SOHC

just looking for a little reassuarnce here.

I will be using a z6 block for my build up. with a y8 head

since I am using a y8 head i would just look at the C:R of the piston as used in a y8 correct?

thanks.

what would z6 pistons do to the compression. realitively speaking? example:

9:1 z6 pistons = ?:1 in a y8

Some good reading here.

And a nifty compression calculator here.

well this is what i came up with

z6 block, y8 head, srp 9:1 y8 pistons(-11.9cc), 2 layer HG = 9.3:1

z6 block, y8 head, srp 9:1 y8 pistons (-11.9cc), regular HG = 9.1:1
