Default A/C Idler Pulley

My A/C idler pulley is making noise on my 2000 SI and I'm afraid it may seize soon. I'm looking at the helms and it's somewhat confusing how to take this thing off. There's one little blurb about it in the A/C chapter but that's it.

Can I do this without taking off the PS pump/belt?

you need to remove the p/s pump belt and pump to get access to that pulley.

once you have that off you can disassemble the a/c adjuster. you need to take it apart and remove the bolt that holds the pulley on. it's not extremely difficult.
